Let Him Go 2 (2025) – Official movie trailer

Several years have passed since George and Margaret Blackledge’s harrowing rescue of their grandson. They now live quietly back at their Montana ranch, trying to rebuild a sense of peace and normalcy after the trauma of dealing with the Weboy family in North Dakota. Their scars remain visible—in the way George holds his hand, in Margaret’s restless nights—but they have hope. The ranch is thriving again, the land steady beneath their feet, and their grandson, Jimmy, is starting to feel safe. Yet an old threat long thought buried rises anew.

LET HIM GO – Giornalino Luosi Pico

When Jimmy disappears during a youth hunting trip into the remote mountains, George and Margaret are thrust into action once more. This time the trail leads not to a patriarchal family off‑grid, but to a hidden compound run by an extremist survivalist group that believes the Blackledges hold an heirloom—an ancient Native American artifact they believe grants protection in a world collapsing under climate shift and chaos. Unaware that the Blackledges once intervened near their lands, this group kidnaps Jimmy to draw George into their trap—believing the old sheriff will trade the artifact for his grandson.

George, steeled by past violence, and Margaret, whose maternal fire burns strong, set out with a small loyal team: Jimmy’s older cousin Lorna, who has grown into a resourceful young woman, and Peter, a Native American tracker whose people know the mountains and the culture. They traverse harsh wilderness—blizzards, sheer cliffs, icy rivers—confronting both natural danger and human cruelty. Meanwhile, the extremist group uses the artifact only as a bargaining piece; their aim is to spark a wider conflict with local communities to preserve what they see as “untamed freedom.”

As the Blackledges close in, they unravel the extremist’s belief system, exposing that the artifact is a forgery and the true power lies in legacy, love and the willingness to protect. The compound falls into chaos when its divisions explode, and George confronts the leader in a tense, brutal standoff atop a mountain ridge. As gunfire cracks across frozen air, Margaret leads the rescue of Jimmy, who emerges changed but unbroken.

In the aftermath, the Blackledges return home. Jimmy is safe but silent; the mountains have left their imprint. George and Margaret stand at the edge of the ranch as spring light fades into dusk. They realize that danger may always roam in wild places—but so does courage. The artifact is buried where it belongs, and the land quiets once more. As they walk back toward the farmhouse, hand‑in‑hand, they know the world may ask them to “let go” again—but they won’t. Not this time.
